Launch of Look Up's learning disability and visual impairment forum

Look Up's new learning disability and visual impairment email forum gives people the opportunity to get advice and support from each other about issues to do with eye care and visual impairment in adults with learning disabilities.

The forum is an extension to the information service that Look Up already offers via its website and helpline.

The email forum is divided into 3 parts:

Ask Look Up - here you can ask Look Up's experts and others if you have a problem regarding eye care and sight loss for adults with learning disabilities.

Getting better eye care - here you can share your ideas on getting better eye care for people with learning disabilities. This is an opportunity to post information regarding new resources, events, courses and jobs for people with learning disabilities, their carers and professional supporters.

Discussion groups - here you can debate all issues relating to eye care.

Anybody who visits the forum site can read all current posts. Anyone is welcome to post a question or contribute to debate, but they will need to register on the site first. The site is moderated and managed by the same people who run the PMLD Network forum.
